2. Top 20% of class in GPA
3. Will attend a four-year college or university within two years of RHS graduation
4. One-page explanation in 12pt font introducing the applicant and addressing why they would like the scholarship. The memo should illustrate any unique circumstance, special consideration such as those listed below, or any other reason the scholarship should be awarded to the applicant.

Special consideration will be given to students who showed the most improvement in his or her GPA throughout high school, students who worked a part-time job while in high school, students who overcame some particular difficulty during high school such as a physical injury, broken family, death of a loved one or otherwise describe a scrappy experience the illustrates the applicant’s determination to succeed in the face of challenges.
